Today we will focus on theme. First, we will finish our annotations for our assigned page of "Through the Tunnel" and TURN IN to GOOGLE CLASSROOM. Then, everyone will work on NoRedInk. I will be pulling a group of students who need a little extra help!
We will watch this video. Fill out the handout at your station as you watch the video. It will help you focused on what is important. KEEP the handout as a reference. We will talk a lot about theme this year.
We will work in groups to come up with movies and books that illustrate the themes listed on the slides. You can find it HERE.
You will need to divide into THREE groups. I will come divide you and appoint a notetaker! We will be sharing at the end of class, so take good notes.
Finish anything from "Three Skeleton Key" that you need to finish. Remember, there is a digital poster on suspense AND a vocabulary activity in Google Classroom.
No Red Ink-You should master at least two topics in the next week!
At the end of class, we will clean up and regroup.
